What better way to end a long day of fly fishing than with a delicious fish dinner? Now that we know that you can sear, grill, fry and bake fish, let’s get a little more specific with these amazing fish recipes!

Two words: beer batter. This recipe for beer-battered fish is the quintessential fish fry for flaky, filling fish!
Beer-battered Fish
You’ll need:

2 quarts of vegetable oil

8 fish fillets
-
Salt and pepper
-
1 cup of all-purpose flour
-
2 tablespoons of garlic powder
-
2 tablespoons of paprika
-
1 egg
-
1 can of your choice of beer
Directions:

Heat the oil in a deep fryer or deep pan to 365 degrees

Season fillets with salt and pepper to taste

Combine flour, garlic powder, paprika, two teaspoons of salt and two teaspoons of pepper. Add the egg, and then gradually stir in the beer until a thin batter forms.

Dip the fillets in the batter, and drop them one at a time into the oil.

Fry until both sides are golden brown.
Lemon Garlic Baked Fish
Adapted from a recipe for tilapia, these seasonings will taste great on your trout or bass.
You’ll need:

4 fillets
-
3 tablespoons of lemon juice
-
1 tablespoon of melted butter
-
1 clove of garlic (chopped)
-
1 teaspoon of dried parsley flakes
-
Pepper
Directions:

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees
-
Place the fillets in a baking dish
-
Pour lemon juice over the fillets, followed by the melted butter

Sprinkle garlic, parsley and pepper
-
Flip and repeat
-
Bake for about 30 minutes, until the fish is white and flaky. Enjoy!
